  1. Exhibitors are required to display strong destination information and provide recommendations to customers, regarding the destinations your product covers.

  2. Exhibitors must bring red hot deals to the Mackay Travel Expo (not brochure prices) which are valid for sale for a minimum of two weeks. You will be required to offer at least one exclusive Expo special which can be a discount or a value add such as a travel bag, bottle of wine, free nights accommodation or upgrade etc. We try to make as many sales as possible on the day, so it is in your best interest to offer a sharp deal.

  3. Exhibitors MUST NOT take bookings direct and will not be invited back to attend any Helloworld Travel Mackay & Mt Pleasant events, should this occur. Enquiry sheets will be distributed and exhibitors are encouraged to bring clients to the dedicated booking area (on the day) with completed enquiry form, or to make bookings in our logins at the booth.

All freight including brochures, being delivered to the MECC are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Freight may only be delivered to the MECC on the Thursday and Friday immediately prior to the Expo. A delivery label will be supplied to all exhibitors prior to the Expo.

No freight will be held following the Expo. In the past, the MECC have offered this service however time and time again we were left with large amounts of brochure which were never collected (leading to a large fee absorbed by Helloworld) and therefore are no longer in a position to offer freight collection.

It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to dispose of all left over collateral and brochures, following the Expo. There is a dedicated bump-out in which skips will be provided, to dispose of any unwanted collateral. Skips can be found at the rear of the MECC - outlined in the following diagram.

  • Entry to the building is through the Loading Dock door via Macalister Street

  • Any electrical equipment being brought onto the premises needs to have been tested and tagged.

  • The Centre retains the right to provide all catering. No food or beverage may be brought onto the premises.

  • All exhibitors must wear fully enclosed shoes.

  • Any deliveries to the centre will only be accepted in the 48hour prior to event date
