About The Event
Located right on our doorstep, the lovely seaside town of Bowen boasts stunning beaches, an interesting cultural heritage, World War II history, wonderful dining options and of course the big Mango!
During our drive north to Bowen, we stop in at Whitsunday Gold Coffee for a yummy morning tea and a 'Bean to Cup' coffee talk. Take time to wander the grounds and check out the cute animals at the menagerie.
Once we arrive in Bowen, a local expert joins us onboard the coach to show us around and teach us a little about the local history. We stop for lunch at the Grand View Hotel and afterwards, we take a tour of the historic Summergarden Cinema, dating back to 1948. We meet Ben who tells us about his involvement in the theatre during his 58 years of ownership, we visit the Hall of Fame, tour the two cinemas and…
