No need to go to the Northern Territory to go on a Crocodile Safari, you can experience this for yourself, just a short drive from Mackay! There are about 150 saltwater crocodiles that inhabit the Proserpine River and the best way to catch a glimpse of one, is from the comfort and safety of the vessel ‘River Runner’. The habitat is also home to species of native birds, mammals, reptiles and marine animals. The expert guide provides commentary and each day try their luck at catching and releasing a mud crab. Explore Goorganga Plains on a tractor drawn wagon train and discover the vegetation and wildlife in a freshwater wetland habitat. Back at the campsite, enjoy a traditionally made Billy Tea and Damper cooked in a camp oven.

We then make our way to Airlie Beach and after a scenic drive through town, we head to the Coral Sea Marina Resort for a delicious lunch on the jetty!
